   First off the packaging is amazing. The styrofoam is actually in plastic so no white beads to chase down! Easy – straightforward assembly. Looks good. Feels good. Sturdy. Dare I say almost over-built for a queen size! Not so sure about the “sticky tape” thing (one piece peeled off wood instead of backing) but I’ll let it pass.

   Pro: easy to put together; functional. Cons: I had the Zinus 14 inch bed frame, so I can immediately tell the 10 inch frame is not as well-made. Very disappointed in the lapse of quality over the years.

    First, this isn’t made of solid wood. Solid wood material is a single plank of wood cut to the length and width of the bed frame. It’s engineered wood which is made of pieces of wood, or layers of plywood glued together. If you look closely, you’ll actually see where some sections of the frames were seamed together and finished with a nice wood veneer. Having said that, I don’t think it should automatically discourage you. I do think it’s a well-built bed frame made with cheaper wood alternative to keep costs low for customers like me. I expect to get some use out of it for two years at least. Structurally, it probably won’t hold up with prolonged use and frequent moves that will eventually put stress on the seams and cause them to break apart. Is it a good buy? It depends on why you’re buying. I live in a 1-bedroom apartment and don’t want to invest in expensive furniture until I can afford to move into my forever home. I know I won’t be moving anymore except to a place I own and I won’t use this bed other than to sleep on at night. Also, this bed checked these must-haves off my list: simple, clean style, easy to build, quality and cost. So all that considered, this is an excellent buy for me!

    One of the side pieces that make up the frame was missing the screw holes needed to attach it to the next piece of the frame. How can i even build it without the holes necessary for the screws?? We ended up finding a drillbit large enough to make a hole for the screw to go through. However, once we reached the next steps of attaching the middle legs to the frames… we discovered the legs are approximately .25inch longer than they should be. Now all 4 of the corner legs of the frame are wobbling because they cant sit flush to the floor because the middle legs are too high. And to make it worse, the screw holes on one of those middle legs were misaligned! So only 1 out of 2 of the screws could even attach it to the bed frame. Its just too much to try to return at this point because we already set aside the packaging for garbage and recycling so we will just have to make it work by finding things to level the legs with each other. Dont recommend buying this frame.

    The bed looks sturdy and was the height I wanted, but the patchy-looking construction and color were not at all what I wanted. So after a light sanding, one coat of primer, and 2 coats of cabinet paint, I have the color and looks to go with the style. Maybe not a project for everyone, but it looks great on my floors.

    This is my 3rd Zinus bed (I’m indecisive and change my room often) and I love their brand. Good quality, easy instructions and honestly after the first bed I can set these up in 30 minutes without instructions. Very sturdy and not noisy at all. Just make sure you don’t scratch the wood with the other pieces as I did that accidentally. Good under bed storage but short, I use it for shoes. Overall great buy!

    This bed frame is amazing quality for $140. It’s real wood that could be refinished, it was easy to put together, and it looks great. I will definitely look to Zinus again if I need another bed frame. You literally can not beat this for $140. Would compare to the $800 Zuma ones.

    This is my second order from zinus. First frame was awesome has lasted 3 years and 3 moves. This one arrived with large cosmetic defects and a screw hole that was not aligned on the side beam. Overall the design assembles well and is aesthetically pleasing. Not rickety or cheap at all. Just disappointed this one has such large scuffs.

    I went to drive a bolt but it kept stripping. Checked the part to find it has no threading like the other identical parts. The wear at the top in the photo is from me trying to force a bolt through the bare cylinder.
