   I wasn’t sure what size to purchase, was deciding between the 10″, 14″ and 18″. I ended up buying the 14″ bed frame for a king sized bed. Was definitely skeptical on how sturdy and quiet it would be. We’ve slept on it for 2 nights now and have no complaints so far. It’s completely quiet, mattress doesn’t move off the bed frame and it’s super sturdy. My partner and I probably weigh around 300 pounds total and with a king mattress on top the frame seems really sturdy.

   We live in a bachelor suite so we’re loving the extra storage space. The frame looks clean and sleek too. Very simple but definitely impressed.

   The only complaint is small. The package came very damaged. The box was all ripped and it looked like the delivery people just threw it around. I was worried the frame would be damaged after opening it but it seems fine. Not sure if this is the fault of the store or the delivery people. If anything changes with the frame I will update my review. But we’re loving it so far!

   There’s no instructions in the box, but like five zillion pieces. Well, maybe not five zillion, but enough that I’d like to use the instructions and not just “wing it.” If I find instructions quickly online, or this thing somehow falls together fairly easily, I’ll change my review. But considering it’s currently in pieces on the floor, 3 stars is generous enough. **UPDATE** I didn’t find instructions online, but to be fair I also didn’t really look very hard. It ended up being pretty easy to figure out, even without instructions! My only concerns are that I have 2 extra bolts, and there seems to be double sided tape on a couple of the slats. Is the tape supposed to literally tape the mattress to the frame? That seems silly, but I can’t say for certain, again, no instructions. Other than that, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Is simple and low key. Big beds with headboards and frames were somehow kinda stressing out my 5 year old. Being low to the ground makes him feel safer, like he can jump up and out of the room if he needs too, or whatever. Unfortunately, because it’s for my 5 year old, I noticed the wooden slats are pretty flimsy. Like, if he was just sleeping I wouldn’t think about it, but jumping on the bed is vital component of his wake- up routine and I’m a bit concerned. Other than that, we’re good. The thing really was simple to put together, even without instructions; I’m changing my review from 3 stars to 4 to reflect that.

   I received this product in fairly good condition. The packaging was fine, nothing was bent or missing, and the included hardware and tools to put the bed frame together are sufficient to get the job done. Opening the packaging, everything is plastic wrapped and pretty well protected so that you don’t accidentally scratch any of the pieces. There are included instructions which are pretty easy to follow, essentially just match up the numbers on one part to the numbers on another part and screw the two pieces together. This entire process took me maybe 20 – 30 minutes to do by myself and I was taking my time with it. If two people were to put this together, it would probably only take about 15 minutes. Once put together, I was surprised by just how sturdy the frame seemed to be. It is well made and the welds on the pieces seem to be fine. As others have mentioned, the center supports seem to be the only area where some additional reinforcement could be needed, but so long as you set the bed in the spot you intend to keep it and don’t drag it around on the floor too much, the center supports are sufficient in my opinion. The bed frame or platform, whatever you want to call it, is also the perfect size for the queen mattress I bought for it. I had seen reviews on other bed frames where some mattresses were too big or too small so the fact this was a non-issue was nice. Another big plus for me is that there is no rattling or squeaking. The bed frame looks great while providing a nice base for my mattress to be supported on. I suppose the only con to this bed frame is the lack of storage volume underneath the frame itself in case someone were to want to store things underneath it. You can definitely fit things that aren’t too tall underneath but if you’re someone that likes to have a lot of under bed storage, then this bed frame probably isn’t the one for you. I wouldn’t really call this a con however seeing as it is listed as being only a 6 inch tall platform, so there you go. All in all, 10/10 from me. It met all my expectations and ended up being a much better product than I anticipated and I would highly recommend it to people that want a low profile, budget friendly bed frame option that looks good and is functional.

   I got this platform because I wanted a simple riser for my mattress. Not too high, just a bit elevated from the ground. The height is perfect, also if you have dogs that like to lay with you this height is easy on their back. The best part about this is that it arrived in a long and slim box. When I opened it I wasn’t looking forward to putting it together since it was about 15 pieces and a bag of nails. But this product was structured so well that putting it together was literally easy as 1-2-3. Required no thinking, maybe a bit of help from the Manual, and that didn’t require much reading. The visuals were so clear and helpful. I think the best thing about this was the ratchet it came with. Made it easy breezy no muscle required. There was a part that didn’t mold very well together because the metal was a bit bent, therefore I couldn’t insert the screw in because the holes didn’t match up but all it took was a few hammers to fix it. It’s also good for someone looking for a minimalistic design that would be easy to move with them rather than a heavy and bulkky bed frame with a headboard. One person could literally pick this thing up. The wooden platforms have a velcro that keeps them from sliding and falling down. Last thing is the price. No squeaks with bouncing, shaking, and jumping. Very well worth my $95!

   I sleep on a firm, thinner foam mattress from Wayfair (actually a guest mattress but I love it) and wanted something to elevate my mattress so I bought this platform. However, I noticed that the wood beams were bending quite a bit so I decided to get some 2×4 at Home Depot and do a DIY mod which worked quite well. I also got some extra oak planks to give me more surface area to work with since my mattress isn’t very thick and I was afraid of it poking through the gaps. Here are all the parts needed for the twin size/10″ high configuration: – Get a single 2×4 beam that’s 96″ long (you’ll only need < 80″ of it). Tell Home Depot to cut a piece that’s 72.5″ long and another piece that’s 6″ long – Four #12 x 2in hex head slotted screws (red packaging, under sheet metal fasteners section) – Four #12 washers (or 1/4″ washers if not available) – A metal plate to join the 6″ piece of 2×4 with the 72.5″ piece – Four #6 x 1in screws that fit int the metal plate (orange packaging, in the machine screw section) – Six oak boards measuring 1/2″ thick, 3″ wide, and 3 ft long (the hobby ones have a slightly nicer finish but are more expensive and aren’t worth it IMO) Note: You could use different brackets to join the 2×4’s like right-angle brackets, etc. but that’s just what I picked up. Total cost of the mod was about $33 at Home Depot. I drilled two holes in the 1×1″ metal frame of the platform for the #12 screws to fit through and drilled some smaller guide holes in the 2×4, making sure everything lined up perfectly. The rest is pretty self-explanatory from the pictures. Just make sure you don’t mess up on drilling the holes (very important!!!) Now I can have a good night’s sleep knowing that the planks won’t give way or deform over time!

   I am in love with this bed frame, the box it came in, the packing, and everything!!! I just moved into a small apartment and I was hoping to find an inexpensive bed frame with a little bit of storage space (for the few suitcases and large art supplies and canvases I have). I also really wanted to find something minimalistic and cute to go with my vibe! Because there are cheap bed frames out there that are VERY bulky and unattractive. This bed frame had all of the things!!!! I originally ordered the same product but with a discount advertised on Bedframes.shop as “returned, package damaged, but in good condition and unused.” The package was a little beat up, but most of the parts and screws were missing. So thankfully I was able to return and reorder the same bed and pay a little extra (the regular $114 price)! All of that to say I was not expecting much when I received the second order… I was just hoping I would have all of the parts and screws to assemble it! But I was beyond surprised!! It did have detailed, easy to follow instructions (with step-by-step pictures!) and came with all of the supplies (metal beams/pieces wooden support planks, screws, an allen wrench, and a ratchet) to build the bed. But it also came with spare screws, a 5 year warranty, a notice on return policy, and cute thank you cards to spread kindness to friends 🙂 I purchased the twin 10 inches. I am 5′ 3″ and about 110 lbs. I feel so supported sitting and lying on this bed (more so than sleeping on a mattress on the floor)! With my bed frame, mattress, and bedding, the top of my bed is about 19.5-20″ off the ground, which is comfortable for me. The twin frame does not come with additional vertical supports in the middle or underside of the bed, but I get the feeling 2-3 more people could sit on the bed with me and be perfectly supported and comfortable. The package also came with stick-on rubber stoppers and 2 wooden support planks had peel off adhesive to help keep the mattress in place, if you want to use them! I only used the rubber stoppers, but I loved that it was an optional feature. Everything is perfect for my vibe and space and I am so thankful to have ordered this frame from Zinus!!

   I waited long till the twin narrow size is available, and I am so glad to get one. The frame is of great, sturdy quality. The slats and the attachment on the frame is good and does not slide out of place nor make unusual noises. The height is perfect storage for luggage bags. It came with some spare parts and has a nut screw driver so you don’t need to have anything else. I was able to assemble it in about 20-30 mins. I recommend this bed frame. I like the soft wooden slats vs the other bed frame version with metal slats. This is way better and comfortable!

   I wanted an 18 inch high metal bed frame with wood slats. This seemed to be the best option. I had a Zinus bed before, it was great. This model had some problems, so I returned it. Middle section does not touch the floor, it would be nicer if they designed it as another leg. Every time I sit on the middle section it hits the floor. See the video. One of the slats was curved and not touching the middle section. It hit the metal frame whenever I moved on the bed. The bed is light, nice. But it slides too much on my wood floor. Cheap anti slip pads on the legs would solve it. But because of the above mentioned reasons, I returned it.

So found this frame as the perfect compromise! So far it seems well made and sturdy. Keep it mind it is very low to the ground…imagine having your mattress on the floor but with a small gap.

    Ill admit i was WORRIED when this box showed up on my front step and it looked like the carriers had been a lil rough with it. the box had a decent tear and when i went to pick it up it only tore more. When i got it upstairs and open I noticed one of the brackets was a lil bent, BUT its the bracket part that goes inside the other tube. I was able to straighten it pretty easy with just the shaft of a screw driver and it all went together really easy. Every connection point has a lil number sticker that you just match to another one of those number stickers and you screw in, the lil ratchet tool is a blessing BUT dont use it to really tighten everything down at the end, use the old school one for that, i think i messed mine up a lil bit doing that, still works i just have to hold the one side down to actually ratchet. Overall there was a few pieces i had to hold a certain way to get the screw in but once it was all connected it feels SUPER sturdy! TONS of storage space under as well that I am going to be able to utilize in my lil space.

    This frame went together very easily. It is solidly constructed and is over-all a good frame. The storage underneath is undeniable, and very extensive. For quietness- if you are an adult hoping to participate in rambunctious activities quietly, this frame is indeed very quiet for the first year or so. After that it slowly becomes louder and louder, until after a couple of years, it is squeaky when you even climb into bed regardless of activities. I have tried tightening screws, but it hasn’t appeared to help.

    Assembled in 30 min (includes unpacking and cleanup). Came with an allen wrench and the most amazing small ratchet. I used the ratchet instead of the Allen wrench. Note that it is a tiny ratchet but exceedingly better than the allen wrench. I was actually excited to put it together after seeing it. The only tool I brought with me was a knife to cut the tape and other packing materials (I.e., zip ties securing pieces together). Shipped to Alaska and unboxed without any scratches or dents. Very well packaged and not hard to removed. Each steel piece was covered in plastic and protected with styrofoam. Instructions were easy to follow. All loose pieces came in it’s own package and was easy to open. Only tip I have is to add felt bottoms while putting it together so you can slide it across floors without scratching them. I did not scratch anything but recommend it for wood or laminate floors. Wood slats attach with VELCRO and have non-slip pads on the top. A cute and personal touch are 3 cards they include in their introduction note to the product. Very happy with the purchase and ease of assembly. And that ratchet and notecards are the extra mile you rarely see from manufacturers of equipment like this. In our guest bedroom and bounced on by a 50lb kid. No issues so far. Easy to recommend.

    I have a 2 bedroom rental unit that I converted to an Air B and B. I had purchased the apholstered headboard and frames new two months ago. They had midcentury modern legs on the for corners. After 3 guests in my new rental, a guest jumped on the bed and broke the feet off one of them and I realized how flimsy they were. So i looked for a supportive base that would hold up to any size guest. I ordered one to test it out and a week later ordered the second. All i can say is WOW! These are excellent quality, very stable and supportive. I put them together in about 15 minutes took the flimsy legs off the existing bed frames and set them on top of the steel platforms. They are rock solid. I no longer have to worry about guests breaking the beds. They would easily stand alone without a headboard and the slats that come with the frame are the only boxspring you need. They were delivered in a matter of 2-3 days, in impeccable packaging and they look and function great. I highly recommend for any of your bed frame needs.

    Firstly, I want to say the instructions to put this together are a bit strange but a quick look at the front of the instructions along with the parts, makes it pretty simple to figure out. There was quote some difficulty getting a couple of the bars to line up with the holes which was very frustrating but went together just fine after that. One of my favorite parts of this frame is the accordian slats that velcro to the frame. Makes packing up and moving it so very easy and there’s no take down needed. You’d probably expect some creaking with a metal frame but it is very quiet and haven’t noticed any noise from the frame. My queen mattress fits perfectly in it as well. Overall, no major complaints and I’d definitely recommend this frame to others that are looking for the same style.

    Was pretty stoked it came a day earlier and it was easy to put together UNTIL I got to the middle support bars. There are 2 holes for the top piece (5) and only one hole for the bottom piece (6) and it doesn’t even line up with any hole so I can’t even put one screw in, so it just sits there. I don’t know if it’s stable enough or if it’ll collapse. Super disappointed because I thought the good reviews outweighed the bad but it looks like the bad reviews were correct. Also just checked and the price dropped by $20 too.

    I love the look of this frame, and decided to take a chance on it after seeing the good-on-average-reviews of Zinus Modern Studio 10″ platform bed frame. I needed space for storage in a small apartment, and hoped the taller frame would be better suited for that. The package came a day earlier than expected, with all parts in pristine condition; putting the frame together was straightforward, took me & my spouse less than twenty minutes. It is likewise easily disassembled if you need to move it, another plus for us. Once the mattress is centered on the frame the wooden slats of the frame aren’t visible, and it really looks great! You can fit anything about 12″ tall or less underneath (the top & bottom bars of the frame take away about two inches of space, so a large 14″ suitcase that can squish a little works but an actual 14″ plastic bin won’t fit!) The frame is very sturdy, doesn’t make any noise, and I’ve been thrilled with the purchase, especially considering the price! Side note: in reviews for the 10″ platform frame by Zinus, Zinus Modern Studio 10 Inch Platforma Low Profile Bed Frame / Mattress Foundation / Boxspring Optional / Wood slat support, Queen some reviewers mentioned the bed frame bending over time. I plan on editing this review if that becomes the case, but so far, our frame has held up well for me and my spouse– a combined ~300 lbs, for reference.

    Bed frame is nice, sturdy and moderately easy to assemble (my 14 year old son did it himself- in under 3 hours). However, his confidence made me turn a blind eye & I allowed him to assemble it by himself. After moving this frame into his bedroom and putting his FULL SIZE MATTRESS ON IT (AS WE ORDERED A FULL SIZE FRAME) I soon heard him call out, “Did I do this wrong?” I went in to inspect; ready with my “you did great! It probably just needs….” Well it was obviously the wrong size. (See pictures). NOW, we had tossed the box outside (onto the deck where the snow quickly shredded its integrity) prior to the assembly. What we knew was that all pieces in the instructions were accounted for. And we live in a tiny space so we recycle quickly and effectively. Upon calling the manufacturer #, their first and most important question was whether we bought it from them or another partner. I said “Bedframes.shop” to which the call concluded with “then you will need to contact them directly for any issues” (oh and the company recommends you use the chat feature but it’s unavailable through Bedframes.shop). So I called Bedframes.shop customer support. They gave me the return options. A. We no longer have a box. B. I am not disassembling this- it’s barely fitting into my son’s room. They can take the assembled frame and come and pick it up- I will get it outside somehow. C. This is not my mistake, and my son still needs a bedframe (we had given his old one away the day this one arrived). So by the time we return, reorder, etc we still have to hope we receive the correct size. My solution: Ask Bedframes.shop to ask the manufacturer/seller to send a new bedframe at a $10 discount and I will give this huge one away. So my son has the right size bedframe, someone getsa free one and the company has no hassle. Their answer: NO. RETURN IT OR DEAL WITH IT. Not even for a $10 discount was it negotiable. So here’s my rightful review. Doubt that Bedframes.shop will post this. But if they don’t, that says a lot. Always take screenshots and pictures folks!

    I gave it five stars for being what I expected for the price. The clearance is actually 15”.5 inches, but still pretty good for storage. Some pieces were bent or didn’t quite fit, but if you have a few tools you will be fine. I needed scissors for the zip ties, an 8 ounce mallet to slide the large pieces into place, and a large adjustable wrench to straighten the pieces. The Allen wrench ratchet included was useful. All the necessary pieces arrived. If I had not had appropriate tools I would have been very frustrated and angry, but I was prepared after reading the reviews, and the problems were easy enough to solve. One of the slats was stapled to the Velcro in a twisted way, but it did not affect the function much, so I left it as is. The instructions were adequate. It took me about a half hour to put it together alone. The metal and the wood slats are light, and the welding piece that holds the lip that holds the slats is questionable, so I expect the frame to live about as long as its five year warranty, and then fail. You get what you pay for. If it does not fall apart in the next five years, I will be thrilled. I feel I got my money’s worth.

    Read Update Below. I love our new Zinus bed frame. It was so easy to assemble, every part and connecting point was labeled so all you have to do is make sure the number on each piece matches the number where they are connected. All of the bolts and washers were clearly packed and labeled as well. You just can’t go wrong with assembly. I put the king size bed together in about 30 minutes all by myself. And my hand wasn’t killing my hand from using the Allen wrench because Zinus kindly supplied a racheting wrench to aid in assembly, that alone would earn them a bonus 6th star in the rating. We have a king size Tempurpedic mattress that we have always used only on a solid platform and I was concerned that the wood slats wouldn’t have the strength to support this type mattress but it is very solid after all. The slats are connected to each other and evenly spaced with wide strips of Velcro that attaches to the side rails that have a strip of Velcro already installed on them. So I didn’t need to worry about the slats shifting either. Linus thought out every detail with this product, we are SO pleased with this bed frame and it is an exact fit for our mattress too. I almost forgot to mention the under storage…WOW! I can fit tubs or storage bins up to 15″ tall. I feel like I’ve got a whole new closet worth of storage space under my bed now. UPDATE:. Within a short time we discovered that the 2 center support posts has shifted and we’re pointing off to one side, leaving no center support and allowing the bed to sag. We remedied this by installing a 2×4 sideways between the frame with a hole drilled in the center that the center post would be put through. Doing this to each center post kept the center post securely in the correct position and stopped any future movement and risk of the center of the bed caving in. The manufacturer could include two bracing bars that would attach to the bottom frame and each center post could attach to it, thereby resolving this failure and making future customers happy for a long time. It’s an easy fix, but should be done by the company, not the consumer. Gotta knock off 2 stars for this.

    We purchased this frame to replace our tall adjustable temporarily since we have two little active co-sleepers now. The frame was very simple and quick (15mins) to assemble and thus far appears and sounds completely stable. But then again I work in structural engineering and am not your average assemblyman. I applied a tiny amount of ‘Squeaks Gone’ to the joints as a few on here have complained about the frame squeaking and I applied a small amount of ‘Red N Tacky Grease’ to each bolt. Do not use a power screwdriver or screw gun for the bolts! Use the hex wrench provided or your own hex otherwise, you will most likely strip some of the bolt holes. My only suggestion for improvement is to functional design… the frame is already invisible because of the bedding so the aesthetics of the frame are a moot point to most, you should shorten the frame by an inch all the way around, round off the corners, and taper the bottom frame to inset by another inch. When the mattress is centered, the frame sticks out about an inch all the way around and the corners further than that. I’m sure you can imagine the agony and frustration of kicking your little toes on that corner edge in the middle of the night while trying to be ninja silent, it’s not good for all in the room. Seriously, if you keep your room very dark as we do, I suggest you skirt around the bed slowly with your shins rubbing the mattress for reference to avoid those corners, or else you’re going to end up on the floor in a ball holding your throbbing toes while screaming into the side of the bed in a like a little school girl.

    I ordered the 18″ king bed frame. Let me regale you with the saga of assembling this beast as a solo lady in an upstairs apartment. The listing suggests the package has everything you need for assembly. Not exactly true. There are a few additional items you’ll want to have handy. Hand Truck or Cart: The box weighs 78 lbs. It’s not an impossible amount for anyone athletic or fit to lift on their own. The problem lies in it’s unwieldy 80″+ length. But with wheels, I was able to move this package by myself from the apartment leasing office, down a long hallway, to an elevator, and down a longer hall into my apartment. (Sidenote: I don’t know what the heck is happening with shipping. I placed my order on the 1st. I received an email that the bed would arrive on the 8th. It was shipped on the 7th. I actually showed up on the 10th. Also the box had rips, holes, and a crooked misprinted label. I thought when I enrolled in Bedframes.shop Prime I wouldn’t have to deal with these shenanigans anymore.) Boxcutter: There are no instructions for how to open the box. And if the space you’re working in is less than 12′ long, you’ll have a hard time pulling long steel pieces out the end of the box without putting gashes in your walls. Just get a knife and filet the package open like a trout. It’ll also come in handy on the zip ties holding parts together later on. A Friend/Partner Who Won’t Say No: The pieces are lightweight. There’s no specialized technical skill needed to assemble the bed. It’s just big and awkward. I’m tall and have a pretty big reach. But lining up and simultaneously inserting opposite diagonal corners on a king bed is tricky. The best strategy is to recruit a friend/partner for 5 minutes to complete 1 step, then let them go back to Netflix. If not, balance the horizontal beams on empty suitcases while sliding them in like I did. Booze: Relax. This isn’t rocket science. There’s no need to be sober during assembly. All the parts have matching numbers where they connect. The instructions are so simple they don’t even have words. Don’t be another classic IKEA-fail cliche.

    I’ve had this frame for about a month now and I’ve loved it a lot. It took me maybe five minutes to put together myself, but putting the mattress on the bed frame was a little tricky (keep reading and I’ll tell you why). It’s sturdy and very stable. This frame is a little longer than my queen sized bed (which I thought was already a little bigger than most queen sized beds but my mom just told me it’s just taller, not necessarily bigger–thanks mom). The sides of the frame fit the mattress well but at the foot, there’s about another inch or two of bed frame. Initially I was worried about stubbing my toe on the steel frame if I get on my bed from the foot, but I haven’t yet. I love the look and style of it. I love being able to just roll out of bed in the morning and just falling into bed at night, so 6 inches is the perfect height for me. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have any bed frame, but my mom wouldn’t let me move out on my own if I couldn’t be a real adult and have a bed frame. My one critique is the non-slip tape on the slats. I wish it wasn’t tape and it was some other type of non-slip grip. There’s a little bit of pressure to put the mattress on the frame just right because I can’t move my mattress without potentially ruining the mattress or the tape. I still can’t move the mattress which makes putting on my sheets a little annoying at times. They provide a non-slip grip thing for the edges of the bed that you can put on, which ends up a little useless when my bed is smaller than the frame. But, at least the tape works. I would give this 4.5 stars because the tape really isn’t that big of a deal but if I rated it 5 stars, you might think that it’s perfect, which it’s not quite there yet. Usually my comforter covers the frame but I’ve tucked it in so you can see how beautiful this thing really is.

    I have a 2 bedroom rental unit that I converted to an Air B and B. I had purchased the apholstered headboard and frames new two months ago. They had midcentury modern legs on the for corners. After 3 guests in my new rental, a guest jumped on the bed and broke the feet off one of them and I realized how flimsy they were. So i looked for a supportive base that would hold up to any size guest. I ordered one to test it out and a week later ordered the second. All i can say is WOW! These are excellent quality, very stable and supportive. I put them together in about 15 minutes took the flimsy legs off the existing bed frames and set them on top of the steel platforms. They are rock solid. I no longer have to worry about guests breaking the beds. They would easily stand alone without a headboard and the slats that come with the frame are the only boxspring you need. They were delivered in a matter of 2-3 days, in impeccable packaging and they look and function great. I highly recommend for any of your bed frame needs.
