Assembly was relatively easy, but it took some time. I’ve been sleeping on it about 2 months, so not a long time, and it seems to be maintaining it’s sturdiness. I was a little disappointed that when it arrived there was a couple of Nick’s and scratches and one or two pieces of metal you could tell had a little bit of rust under the paint. But I was in need of assembling it so I went ahead.

It took my husband and myself about 2 hours to assemble the bed. I had one screw left over. The only complaint (and it’s a pretty disappointing one) is the rails on each size were apparently constructed backwards because of how the support pieces that hold the two pieces together on each side would not line up according to the pictures (on the instructions) so the pieces that are Velcro had to be reversed making the slates show and the mattress to sit way higher rather than nestled down between the side boards and foot boards. Other than that, it seems sturdy.

It’s a nice bed. A pain to put together. I wish I would have went with a different bed because it is not as pretty as the pictures show.
