   When we opened the box and looked at all the pieces, it appeared that this bed would not be very sturdy. However, after assembling the product, it came together to form a strong, sturdy frame. Pros…very classy looking. Nice fabric, workmanship and overall design. Cons…the headboard is a bit lower than I was expecting. Our room has high ceilings and the scale is a little off. It should be fine in a typical 8-9 foot room. It might look like the holes do not line up, but tapping the frame with a mallet will align the parts to form a sturdy connection. It was a tedius process to build this bed. Overall a good looking bed …recommend with 4 stars.

   Purchased this bed for my Airbnb bc I didn’t want to spend very much. It looks pretty nice, my only complaint is that it sits very low to the floor. Looks a little awkwardly low. Otherwise nice. Pretty easy to put together, did it by myself in an hour. Highly recommend using a power tool instead of the tools it comes with to save time!

   Ordered this bed and began putting it together. The instructions may as well have been for ikea furniture. None of the parts were labeled except the hardware used to hold it together… two of which were mislabeled. Upon opening the box, everything was just kinda thrown in and covered in pieces of styrofoam from the ‘packaging’. Got the headboard ready to go after some trial and error with the lame directions. Then the footboard. Put the side rails on as indicated… looked at it and thought… wow – that’s long. But ok.. kept going. Put together the middle support with slats. Suddenly the holes dont line up where the slats should be screwed into the center beam. Head scratcher. Set the middle beam inside the assembled frame and it fits. bold it to the headboard and footboard. Of course the slats are basically too short. I lay the slats on the mattress I have set to the side. The basically fit the length of the mattress. Weird. So I lay the slats on the framework of the bed (even though the holes do not line up) then lay the mattress on top. The frame measures 85 inches from the inside of the headboard (where the mattress butts up) to the bottom of the footboard. 85 inches. A full size mattress is 75 inches. The width is perfect. Edge to edge. I contact seller and at first get immediate response. THey ask for a lot of pics and measurements and pictures of my measurements… I provide it all. 2 days later, they tell me: “With this situation, the frame itself should have a few inches towards the bottom of the bed to allow for a comforter. However, If the frame is something that you are not satisfied with, we do partner with Bedframes.shop to provide customers a 30 day window for full returns and or replacements. Upon review of your receipt you are still located within this policy. I have included their telephone number below. If you have any questions please let me know. Have a great day.” So, I get to disassemble their crappy frame with NO explanation of offer to fix (like immediately sending out the right size side rails and center frame). I also get to repackage this crap and work with UPS to come pick it up at a convenient time when I’m home to give it to them unless I want to chance leaving it on my front porch. Very Very frustrating. I wish i could give this zero stars.

   This bed frame looks amazing. The instructions to assemble the bed was alittle off. I feel like it’s a little to expensive for the quality but so far it works great. There are some room left when placing a queen size mattress on it. The corner of my mattress is round shaped. Better if it was squared shaped mattress. But overall it looks great.

   The bed looks nice but assembly is terrible! All of the brackets that attach the railings to the bed were on upside down (so none of the brackets could hook onto the screws). Had to change them all around to make it work. And then the piece that attaches the 2 pieces of the side rail was defective – none of the holes matched. The bed is a gift for a friend out of state and I am setting it up for her so now I have to figure out how to adjust it since returning it will be more of a hassle. Not the best by any means. If you get one where the brackets and holes line up, I’m sure you will have a vastly different experience. But for me, not so much!

    This is about what I would expect for the price. The assembly of the entire bed was more than one person could do. I kept my existing platform bed and just used the headboard. It did not stand very tall so used the two side support pieces from the bedframe to attach to each headboard leg to extend the length so that it’s taller. I was trying to match a bench that I had already purchased from Bedframes.shop but they failed to deliver my first headboard order. I was trying to match the color. The pearl is very close to the beige of the foot bench, but I’ll say it is a slightly grayish looking beige color.

    I ordered this bed back in mid September. When it arrived I assembled it (fairly easy to do) and realized the middle post was severely bent. This post is crucial for assembly as it holds together the middle beam dead center of the bed. I assembled it any ways and slept in it one night and had to leave town for work. I returned a week later and after sleeping in the bed for a week+, the bed was VERY squeak and wobly also saggs in the middle because the bent middle post. I reached out to LUCID and they responded promptly asking for a copy of my receipt and a phone number and any pictures (although I included a pic of the bent post in my original email). I sent that immediately. 25 hours later they responded asking for a pic of the frame and again my phone number. I sent that immediately. A week later, they sent the same email asking for a Pic of the frame and my phone number. I replied, stating that I already sent the picture and my phone number on my previous email but if I need to again let me know and I will resend. 3 Weeks now and crickets. I emailed them today and asked to at least be able to purchase the middle post as I cannot sleep in the bed anymore because it saggs too much and is very squeaky without that stability post. The only review I can give is TERRIBLE customer service and makes for a bad night sleep,. Maybe if it gets resolved I can update this review.

    I really liked the style and price of this bed. I bought it in September 2022. However, it’s June 2024 and it’s had problems for over a year now. The metal supports quickly became bent and would give out from simply laying down or normal rolling around. This would cause a loud noise and cause the mattress to droop. So, I constantly had to lift the mattress to try to straighten the legs. They became so bent they wouldn’t touch the ground so I tried to add additional supports. However, the bed was so wobbly it bent the additional supports too. Today, while just laying the bed once again made a loud noise and the outer frame support leg snapped. Shame because I liked the style of bed!

    I’m upset I didn’t buy this earlier. I went a year without a headboard for no reason! This was super easy to assemble, it took my boyfriend and I 1.5 hrs to put together. Instructions were easy to follow. Beware the reviews about stubbing those toes is true ! But as humans we are adaptable to our surroundings and after only two toe stubs I’ve learned to avoid stepping near the support leg. This is truly a great buy! It feels sturdy and no squeaking!

    I am extremely disappointed with this bed frame. It broke after just a few months of use, despite being rated to support up to 600 pounds. My wife and I are well under that weight limit, so this shouldn’t have happened. I tried contacting customer service to request a replacement for the middle support frame, but I received no response at all. For a product at this price point, I expected much better quality and service. I would not recommend this bed frame based on my experience.

    Another Update: I changed my stars again from 1 star to 2 stars, because I contacted Lucid, and I was completely reimbursed. I had to send photos of the broken bed, along with my proof of purchase. I was kindly sent a check. I’m grateful about that. Thank you, Lucid, for not making this more difficult. Update: This twin XL was for my guest room. It has barely been used. It’s been slept in, easily less than a month. My son has been visiting over the holidays and he is 6 feet tall and about 195 lbs. the slats under the bed broke. He came downstairs this morning and told me that he had to put the mattress in the floor. So now I’d give one star. Just assembled bed and it’s lovely. I don’t know how well it will hold up though as it hasn’t even been slept on. I included a photo because had I known before buying, I would not have gotten a 10 inch mattress. Due to its thickness, it hangs over the end/foot a bit. If the mattress had been thinner (8 inch or less) it might have tucked under the headboard a bit, and would not have hung over at the foot of the bed. I’m sure a bed spread will cover this. Assembly was fairly simple. I have assembled a LOT of furniture and this bed had a few very minor issues. Holes did not line up well so some screws are somewhat at an angle and do not feels as secure as they maybe could. All parts were there, nothing missing. It was packaged well so that there were no scratches or damage. It is an inexpensive bed for our guest room so I am happy with it. Will it last for years with daily use? I am uncertain. Its a bit flimsy maybe.

    What can I say I looks great, is solid and does not make any noise if you toss and turn at night. If you get one of the bigger sizes Queen, King, etc, it is not the easiest to put together alone, but it is do able. I suggest 2 people though. It makes things easier and will not take you 4 hours to put together that way. Also the box is heavy for the king size so best of luck there.

    Now I should also mention that part of the support is a solid piece of black wood, probably particular board with a laminate coating but solid enough, that connects the side boards and is very close to the edge of the bed. So if you are walking along to close to the bed and are not careful you will stub your toes, possible several times, but eventually you will learn not to do that. Or at the very least to be very careful around the middle of the bed late at night.

    Dont worry the cast will come off eventually and you will be fine.

    It is a solid bed frame and does work really well.

    Love that I got it 2 months ago and it’s still holding up its sturdy material a little cheaply but it’s holding no cracks in the wood or anything first time putting up a bed so it took me like 2 hours but when I got the hang of it I was good it would’ve took less time if I had a power drill.     Seems like The weight rating might be true is you lay perfectly still… Mine is a Cal King and the legs bent easily (the 2 closest to the middle as well as the mid side ones would flex pretty bad if you sat on side of bed… any rolling over or moving around in the bed and it would walk all over.. typically would wake up with the bed 6” to a foot away from the position when I went to bed. I added a basic support frame tying the 4 middle legs ( 2 on side rails and 2 in middle) togather with a 6ft piece of wood, some angle brackets and 3/4” conduit straps, the. Additionally tied each of the 2 sets of 3 metal legs togather to add some rigidity, again using an (2) 82” piece of wood and 3 3/4” conduit straps per group… So Far feels much more stable and actually Capable of meeting it weight ratings

    I just want to say that I NEVER leave reviews on Bedframes.shop items. This is actually my first review which just goes to show how strongly I feel about this item. I ordered this bed along with a full size mattress. I should’ve taken the other reviews seriously. It took me hours to assemble this by myself. The instructions were horrible. The only thing labeled were the screws and according to the pictures it was telling me to install the side panels and the legs for the sides upside down. I figured it out when the holes didn’t line up and I got it on the right way but the worst part was after assembling it all morning, I put my mattress on and the bed frame is too long and wide. There are standardized sizes for twin/full/queen/king sized beds and this company just decided to make up its own size. So frustrating because not only did I waste precious time I could’ve spent doing the million other things I need to do while my kids were at school, I now have to disassemble it and repackage it to send it back. Moral of the story, take reviews seriously, double check dimensions, don’t order this bed

    Well, here we are, more than 100 years into standardized bed sizes that were so set as to facilitate ALL beds and frames, no matter the manufacturer or builder, fitting one another properly, but still, it seems manufacturers today are too inept, or careless, to follow them. As is shown in the photos, this Lucid frame is a solid six inches too long for a standard Twin XL mattress. I am so disappointed, and frustrated (returning these is going to be a nightmare, and I am sure the company is banking on that, betting most people won’t go through the time and physical expense of doing so). And, to be sure I hadn’t somehow ordered a Twin mattress instead of Twin XL, I measured it, too, and it is 79in long, which is reasonable since a twin xl bed frame’s footprint (the part where the mattress sits) should be 80 inches +/- 1 inch or so, and it confirms this frame is just plain too long for the corresponding mattress size, period. Long and the short of it is there is no way to make this reasonably work with, not without some time and money-consuming hack, either you push the mattress against the headboard and you have a giant, awkward, ugly chasm at the bottom to look at and to try to remember is there so as to physically avoid it, or you pull the mattress down flush with the foot end of the bed and you have a six inch gap for everything to fall through where your pillows are and head and hands lay while you’re asleep. If you choose the more obvious choice of pushed against the headboard end and a guest is lying or lounging on the bed and don’t know about (or forget about) the six inch TRAP of a gap at the foot end and they quickly shimmy down or otherwise exit out of bed the bed byway the end instead of the side, they can easily, injure themselves, as instead of their foot or feet sliding off (and onto the ground below as their brain expects because that is normal exit procedure with properly sized mattresses and frames), their foot or feet might slide off the end and right into that gap (or hit it on the end). They could get a foot stuck or scraped or ankle twisted , especially since they probably had some momentum going into it. Gaps are dangerous that way (and this is why we have industry standards!). I don’t have much more to say except 1. I regret buying TWO of these for my new guest room, and 2. GET YOUR ISH TOGETHER, LUCID. It doesn’t matter how sturdy or attractive something like this is, if it is sized improperly for normal and safe function then it’s not going to cut it., even at this relatively modest price point. The first job and really the ONLY job a bed frame performs is to properly hold a mattress. If it can’t meet that standard it’s a piece of junk. This is, therefore, a piece of junk not worth your time, money, or effort. Avoid until they fix this sizing issue (which, who am I kidding, they probably never will).

Since there is a warranty through the company, we contacted the LUCID customer service. They were extremely helpful and efficient! They sent out a new platform within 2 days of contacting them. We received the new platform only a few days later. Because they didn’t have our original platform in stock, they sent us a fully metal, folding platform. They even sent a picture of what the new platform would look like with our headboard and frame. We put the new platform in and it seems to be more sturdy. Overall, I highly recommend the company! But maybe don’t get this product if you (and your sleeping partner) weight more than 300 lbs and you don’t have a box spring. If we had a box spring, I think it would’ve been fine.

    I was super excited to get a bed with a metal frame since our last bed didn’t have one and broke because it was too flimsy. This one is no different, building it went well and we thought it was going to last a while until we got into bed last night and the frame collapsed. Literally after 2 days of having it. The metal bar in the middle of the frame that supports the slats was completely bent and unfixable. Super disappointed in this frame and contacted customer support to try and get a refund.

    We bought the king size bed. It looks super nice and modern. It was easy to assemble, but time consuming and definitely needed someone to help hold the pieces while putting together. The center legs bent after about 6 months. The company has sent a completely new support frame to go underneath of the mattress free of charge. They were responsive within 24 hours and very friendly and wanted to know how they could help make the experience better. I definitely recommend this bed and company.

    It looks good, but man are my toes and shins sore from running into it (see pics). They put the side rail support posts right where you would be getting into bed, so your big toe will find it. Also, with a blanket on it, you can’t see that the frame sticks out a lot further than the mattress, so I’m constantly running into it with my leg. The instructions aren’t the best and there’s one drawing that’s wrong: it shows incorrectly, where the mid post goes. It’s too hard to explain, but you’ll see what I mean, when you try and attach the mid post on the side rails. Aside from those 3 issues, I’m okay with this purchase.
