   Exactly as I expected. I was worried by some of the bad reviews but it turned out just fine. I ordered this bed because my 5 year old was getting too long for her toddler bed. Very simple, but also elegant. Ended up moving it against a wall, the mattress slides a bit on the metal rods. But it’s great for the price. 10/10 would buy again. (Probably will when our son gets big enough!) total time it took my husband to put it together (with ya juggling our 6 month old) about 30 minutes.

   I got a great price. It arrived on time. Tools (Allen wrench) included. It looked daunting to put together but it actually wasn’t. The illustrations make it pretty simple and I was able to get it done in less than 30 minutes. If I could figure it out, trust me, anybody can! I’m 5’6, 140 lbs. It’s study. No squeaking. I have one 12 inch memory foam mattress. It can slide about a bit but not an issue even though I toss and turn in my sleep. Easy fix if your so inclined.

   This is a great bed. We purchased it for our 5 year old to get her out of her toddler bed which she was out-growing. I wish we had skipped a toddler bed and also bought one for our 2 year old. We definitely will purchase another in the future. It took less than an hour-maybe 30-45 minutes- for my husband to assemble. It is very sturdy. No creaking or wobbling which is what I always worry about with inexpensive furniture. My only comment or heads up would be, if you’re putting a mattress straight on to this frame, plan to put the bed against a wall, or purchase something that you will be able to use to prevent mattress from sliding around. The finish on the metal is very glossy and the mattress slides around so we ended up putting it against the wall.

   Even though my daughter likes it there is one thing I don’t care for. The mattress slides all over the bed and I’m not sure which product would help with that. Otherwise the assembly was not that bad and I did it by myself. I am a plush woman and I felt comfortable on the bed leading me to believe it’s pretty sturdy.

   Only downside could be there have been more crossbars. These are 4.5″ apart. Would have been better 3″. Just my opinion and not really a big factor at all. The rest of the bed frame has a lot stronger metal. Went together very easy. There are simple picture plans to follow. Good strong hex bolts and east to thread. I put a 10″ gel top mattress on it and think it fits perfect . To give you a idea, my mattress (10″) is a .5″ higher than the foot rest. So a 12″ might be ok too for some people. Of course it will look good with a thinner mattress too. Tonight will be my first night sleeping on it. I don’t anticipate of issues.

   So it came in a small box w a ton of pieces. I’m thankful my daughter had to patience to put them together for me. She did most of the work herself and only needed help holding a few pieces that required two people. However, it take a couple of hours to assemble one bed. She had two to assemble so took 4-5 hours.

    I bought two of these. They are freely easy to assemble. The order was right for sure. My only complaint is the unsightliness if the screws, bolts, and washers. If these were white like the bed, I’d give 5 stars. I may paint them in the near future.

    I purchased 2 of these beds. My youngest daughter is 90lbs and she doesn’t jump on her bed or anything. But the bars have bent and she can no longer sleep in it. I’m very disappointed with the quality of this bed.

    Overall it’s a bed frame. It does the job of holding a foam material well. I’m not sure how a spring bed would do and might need a box spring, or something like that. We’re a foam mattress family. Anyway, the frame went together well. My wife and daughter assembled it and had no trouble. Though it seems to warp slightly and doesn’t sit flush with the wall, the mattress fits fine. It’s a nice budget bed frame.
