   Overall, I am thoroughly happy with this item. I researched Bedframes.shop for months and compared similar platform beds for a while. Although you can find less expensive platform beds on Bedframes.shop, this one is superior in quality and worth the extra $100 for a solid, well-crafted, American-made bed.    The bed was exactly what we had hoped for until one of the planks snapped just now. Wasn’t doing anything crazy, just simply went to lay down and one of the upper planks snapped in half. We’ve only had it for 3-4 days so kinda sucks that already having to deal with an issue on it. I only weigh about 145 so can’t say it was a weight issue. What are my options? Return entire bed? Get a replacement plank? Go out to lowes myself and cut my own plank?

   I ordered the “last” white washed version of this bed frame and what I got was the grey one. The box said “white washed” on it, but the bed frame inside was not white washed. The cost for shipping to return it was exorbitant and since I got the “last one” there was nothing to exchange it with. Luckily this is a bed frame I’ll only be using for a year until I save up enough to by the bed I want, so I can live with it. The directions were minimal (think IKEA), but I was able to figure it out fairly quickly. Two of the metal corner pieces used to put the bed together were bent and I had to bend them back with pliers before I could get them to work as described. I’ve only had the bed set up for a few days and so far haven’t had the support beam cracking that others have reported, but it is a bit wobbly without the mattress. If the right color had been sent I would probably be giving this frame more stars. (The first image in this review is a screenshot as the bed was displayed here on Bedframes.shop. The last 2 images are of the color I received—even the inside was painted grey but not finished.)

    I absolutely love this bed frame! It is absolutely beautiful and super simple to put together. There are no tools required. The frame secures together with brackets and then the slats are laid into grooves cut into the frame. It is just what I was looking for! The seller was very nice and sent a personalized thank you for my purchase. HOWEVER, last night was the fourth time some slats fell out from their place and onto the floor, and then it was a domino effect for the remaining. In other words, the mattress ended up falling through to the floor on one side and then the other!! I love the frame so much, but I don’t like feeling as if I have to tip toe to get into bed and stay still at night so I don’t fall through. I purchased the California king frame in walnut. All I can think of is buying finishing nails to secure the slats? Otherwise maybe this frame isn’t strong enough to support a California king mattress?!
    UPDATE 11/23/2017 even after receiving replacement slats, it is still giving out underneath. Thankfully none of the slats have broken, but I may as well place my mattress on the floor since that’s where I end up most nights anyway. So sad and frustrated!
    UPDATE: drilled some screws to the bedframe to keep the interior from moving. Not idea, but haven’t had an issue since.

    Easy to assemble (no tools needed). I liked that it looked like what was pictured. The wood/color (walnut) is beautiful. The only negative is that I felt like the center piece moved around a bit, even after putting in the supporting legs pieces. And also, I wish the pieces would have aligned properly (see pics).

    The exterior of this bed frame is gorgeous. I’m fairly sure it’s just pine or another cheap wood stained a dark brown, but given wood prices nowadays, I honestly can’t complain about it not being *actual* walnut. The problem I have with this bed frame is that the plywood supports running down the center were very poorly glued up. There are gaps in the wood and one of the legs for the center supports actually split down the middle when I tightened the bolt. Even then, I wasn’t able to tighten the bolts on the legs all the way because the gap is much too wide for the center support beams. The legs slide out of place any time the bed moves. The slot in the frame for the beams to rest in is also significantly wider than the beams, which makes for a really creaky bed. I’m not really a woodworking snob or anything and I think I could’ve been okay with how this bed is built if not for the poor glue up and parts that don’t fit right. I’ll probably end up building my own supports and legs eventually, but it would have been nice to receive a product that didn’t need extra work to function.

    Purchased in December have had it for about 4 months now. I was concerned about the packaging as my house is the last stop on our UPS guys route but to my delight everything was well packed and intact. I purchased a full size frame and it fits my mattress perfectly. A long beam goes down the middle onto which the slats fit into. It appears to be real wood none of that particle board mess, but I chose to error on the side of caution and also purchased a support for the middle beam and used the box it came in so my mattress wouldn’t sink between the slats.

    BEWARE, looks like they started using cheaper materials after all the good reviews. I’m 6’5 200lbs. I’ve had it less than a month, and the main support beams just snapped when I laid down. I’ve been pretty gentle with the bed… UPDATE: It’s not been 6 weeks since the frame snapped, and I still have the broken pieces and have not had a return processed. I’ve reached out to eLuxury continuously and they have been remarkably unresponsive. I guess once you have 100+ good reviews on Bedframes.shop you can cut quality and ignore your customers. This has by far been the worst Bedframes.shop experience of my 7 years. I’ll never buy a large item here again.

    No tools. No screws. Solid wood. Amazing!!! I love this bed! We live in the city so moving large furniture can be a pain in the @ss. But this bed was super easy to put together. Prolly took 5 mins to get out of the box and maybe 10 to put together!! Amazing!!! After putting together tons of IKEA furniture over the years this was a dream come true. And it was so easy to put in our 3rd floor bedroom. No knicks in the wall along the way! The bed itself is super sturdy as well. If our other bedframe ever gives out.     Just FYI I didn’t receive any discounts for this review. I’m just a human who decided to buy this bed at full price. It is indeed as awesome as I hoped. The wood looks amazing, and I’ve never put together a bed so quickly. Be sure to slot the frame together firmly! I had one of the connections sort of half-way slotted, and it came apart when I sat on it. Once I re-slotted it (more carefully this time), it was rock solid. Excellent design, and just a beautiful bed. I love it.

    I like how easy it is to assemble. Once I put the bed on, it feels solid and sturdy. But I do not like the plethora of unfinished slats. They are rough and are so easy to cause splinters. If I have to un-assemble the bed again which is likely as I move often, I have to be extra careful to avoid splinters again. What a hassle! For this price, they should have made the slats smooth and finished. The product looks cheap because of this. I only recommend buying this bed frame if they will fix the mistake.

    I never write reviews unless there is a problem. This time I’m writing because I feel that this company deserves credit for an amazing product. I purchased these as bases for beds for foster children. I am 5’1″ and 105 pound single woman. I purchased two of the gray ones and they arrived in only a few days. They were in impeccable packing. The wood is solid and beautiful. I was actually able to lift the package into my house by myself and then carried it in pieces into the bedroom. I had watched the video prior, but it took less than 10 minutes (per base) for me to put them together. I never once had to look at directions. It’s just that easy and fool-proof. The bases are so sturdy that I imagine that these will last a lifetime. The fact that they were made in the USA is important to me and I am incredibly impressed with the quality of this product. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat! I’ve never received a product with a handwritten “thank you” note before but that was such an amazing personal touch. They’ve thought of everything and I want to acknowledge that it was noticed!

    I received one box with only the ends of the frame on the 13th. I checked the description and didn’t see any information about it being shipped in 2 boxes. Anyway after a lot of stress of almost returning the first box the second one came on the 18th. It’s super easy to put together and it was well worth the stress. It is very sturdy, and real wood that looks beautiful. Just like advertised. It’s a little spendy compared to other frames but well worth the money. 4 stars only due to the confusion.

    We bought a bed almost exactly like this from this seller about 7 years ago and had great luck. This one? Not so much. More than 15 of the slats were cut too short and no matter how hard we try to center them, they fall out in the middle of the night and it wakes every human and dog in the house up. I’ve contacted the seller because Bedframes.shop won’t deal with this directly, and they haven’t responded at all. Don’t get stuck spending money on a bed that will become firewood like this one probably will.
