   I bought this about 9 months ago for my 7 and 9 year old boys. This set is perfect, easy to put together and sturdy. I’ve layed on both beds and I weigh 170lbs and never felt like it wasnt going to hold. The ladder detaches which I love for ease of making the top bunk. The color is also great and matches their other espresso furniture perfectly. The only thing i dont like are the three supporter legs down the center of the full sized bed. Whenever i pull the bed away from the wall to make them, those three legs bend and end up all crooked. I just crawl under the bed and straighten them again, but it’s kind of annoying. UPDATE: We have now used this daily for about 3 years and it’s still in fantastic shape! We no longer use the top rail or the ladder. We have used the beds separately, and now they are back together. I have zero complaints about these bunk beds. They are amazing and have been great!

   Very pretty. Had it almost a week now and still waiting for the smell to dissipate. Some kind of chemical off gassing. My son is so sensitive to it he can’t stop coughing when he sleeps and had ended up in our bed instead. Other reviews mention this smell and some say a few days, some say a long time. I’m hoping not too much longer. Not stained wood. Definitely laminate, had to be careful when removing the label stickers after assembly was done because the laminate was peeling off with it. Assembly was easy. Holes were all drilled properly. Planning on adding extra slats or a sheet of plywood for the mattress support but we had figured this from other reviews and it’s an easy fix. For the price, it’s an amazing deal, feels sturdy and my kids love it. If that smell will just clear out so we can actually sleep on it we will love it.

   We love the look of this bed and the design seemed so solid. Unfortunately, after only a month, it already has cracks showing, and my top-bunk kid is just 60 pounds. I am now worried about the safety of the bed. EDIT: It’s been at least a year now and the “cracks,” while annoying, don’t seem to be any more than superficial. It’s a sturdy bed for now (my kids are both 60 pounds a piece, so we will see how it holds up as they grow) and I like the look and design. I do wish the ladder stopped at the bottom of the bottom mattress so a trundle could be used, but that appears to be reserved for more expensive beds.

   This bed is great. When I ordered it, it took about a week to get to me which wasn’t bad. The packaging is long and heavy. I mean really heavy. I couldn’t lift it up myself. I was able to kind of push it from the porch into my house and that’s where it stayed until I was ready to assemble it. The packaging was really good. I had all parts and none were broken. It’s wood pieces so there are some flaws in the wood which is expected. I started putting it together by myself and realized how much of a task it would be. The instructions were clear so that helped. I ended up finishing it myself but it took a long time. Like over half a day. I would suggest using 2 people. It would have made it easier and it would have been done in half the time. You will definitely need 2 people to put the twin on top of the full bed. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase!

   Assembly wasn’t awful. It was daunting at first seeing all the pieces in the HEAVY box, but once you start putting it together it makes sense. You’re basically assembling two beds and putting the twin on top of the full. I didn’t have a 2nd person and not a lot of room so I had to take some liberties when assembling it…. I put the top bed together a bit and the rails when the bed was put on top. It’s heavy! Good quality and strudy though.

    Recieved the box and had to open it outside as it was too heavy to move. Putting it together was a pain, but with a couple of people it is possible. We added extra support on the slats for the mattresses. My biggest complaint was a couple of pieces came damaged, I just have to contact the company about it.

    We bought this for our sons Christmas present so we had to assemble it Christmas Eve while he was with his Memaw and Papa in order to surprise him. I was irritated after unboxing it to find that key pieces were broken and hardware missing. Not something you really want to come across when you are trying to surprise a child and have time restraints. The top of the headboard and footboard for the lower bunk was assembled (that’s how it comes it appears) which isn’t wise considering the wooden dowels were broken off on both the headboard and footboard units, there was a huge chunk missing out of the foot board and around some of the holes were cut poorly. We had to drill out the broken dowels and go buy new dowels, then not all the hardware was there, so luckily we do a lot of building and home improvements so we had some extras on hand. Where a chunk was missing on the footboard is where a dowel is to be for stability and sturdiness so we had to fix that as well. I was definitely disappointed in the quality control of this. I didn’t rate it lower because we were able to fix most of it ourselvesand had pieces not been broken off it would have been an easy assembly. It did take us about 3 1/2 hours from start to finish due to the repairs we had to make. What matters most is that our son loves it and I think overall it’s a good product for the price point. Just be aware that there may be broken pieces and/or missing hardware that you may need to account for.

    Beautiful, looks great. Some parts where very difficult to put together. The labels on each piece were a little hard to see and there are A LOT of pieces. Some were also tough to connect. I think I’m going to add more slats to the bottom. Doesn’t seem to have enough. Far and few between The grey is beautiful though

    I bought this for my 3 year old and 6 year old. They really love the bed. It fits perfectly in there room and is very sturdy. My husband put it together in about an hour. My only complaint is that when we finally had the time to put it together a piece was broken from transit and the instructions were missing. But Dorel has a very handy website that I could download the instructions from and I was able to order the broken piece as well at no charge. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that this bed comes with a 1 year warranty. So that’s an added bonus. All in all this was a great purchase despite the two small issues. Ps. I bought ply board for under the mattresses for support.

    It looks nice. It wasn’t impossible to build. But there were numerous dents, scrapes and scratches all over, and not small ones. And there is no protection for the kids from splinters on the bed slats, they scrape all over the top mattress and rain splinters down onto the bottom mattress. Is there something that was supposed to come with this bed to cover the underside of the top bunk?

    We received the bed yesterday evening and put it together fairly quickly. If you have ever bought and put together a piece of furniture, then this will be a breeze for you. We were a little nervous because some reviews spoke of difficulty putting it together and reading the instructions, however we found no issue. We have put other things together before that were much more difficult. Aside from that, we were super impressed by how sturdy the actual wood and the finished product were. This package was 123 lbs! Talk about solid! Each board is solid wood, none of that pressed wood garbage. Over all, from night 1 we are super impressed by the quality and price of this bed and would recommend to anyone not wanting to spend a fortune on a good quality bunk bed.

    I love this bed. We had a metal frame bunk bed that broke in no time at all. So we ordered this one to replace it. This bed is sturdy solid wood. It was easy for me and my husband to put together. We did have some bolts that were the wrong for. They gave to many of the wrong part and not enough of the one we needed. So we went to the hardware store to get the right screws to finish it up. Overall it’s a great bed for the price. Very happy with the purchase

    i purchased these to use as bunk beds but oncei got them built they fit in the room nicely on their own. they are VERY sturdy wooden beds and i am super happy with the quality. It was kind of a pain in the butt to build and i highly recommend using the drill with the allen wrench attachment because building this whole thing with just the allen wrench it came with will kill your fingers. Eventually i will stack the twin on top of the full and use it as a Bunk Bed but i like the way it looks like this right now. Tip: pay attention to the treading on the screw pictures. i built the entire first bed with the wrong long screws and had to take the whole thing apart.

    I love love love this bunk bed! i have a 5 yr old that sleeps at the top and a 10 yr old that sleeps at the bottom. they love it as well. it was so easy to put together, i did it all by myself then had my husband help put the twin on top of the full. i’ve even slept on top with my youngest a couple of times and i’m around 180 lbs. my ONLY complaint are the small slacks for the top bunk seem like they should lay flat and not up and down? it’s hard to explain but the ppl who’ve bought it probably know what i mean lol. but all in all i still love it. i’d been searching and very skeptical based on reviews so i hope this convinces whoever to buy it too.

    Nice Looking – Sturdy – Strong Construction – no missing pieces. The spacing block of wood a great Idea, the seller includes a small board cut the right size to put slats in the right distance between the Slats – sweet !!! Our two granddaughters getting where the don’t want to share a bed…this IS the answer. Full on bottom twin on top! We used a ratchet wrench with an Allan wrench attachment – made things easy We searched and searched and came up with this bed – A Recommend!

    If I had it to do over, I’d get a different bed, but now that it’s together, I don’t want to take it apart. There are large cracks in five or six different boards, including one on the stairs, and dings and such as well. A couple we glued because it was a concern as they went clear through the board. They apparently have lousy level of product control. In addition, they put a hideous warning sticker the entire length on one side. Unless you plan to have that certain side up against the wall, you are in for a mess when you take it off. I got mine off after considerable effort. Just seems like they feel we are babies and can’t discuss weight and proper use with our kids. Maybe because their product isn’t as strong as they like to think. Would not recommend or buy again. Unfortunately.

    These beds are so amazing that I bought two! I am a mother of four, so space is an issue, as is safety. What I like about this is it gives me the option of more space because of the full size bed on the bottom. If cousins come, we can just double up because of the double bed. This is by far the best price on the internet too. Finally it is just beautiful. Other bunk beds are just so ugly. This is just really sturdy and huge, but because of the color and design it fits into the space without overwhelming it. The beds also function independently as a twin and double bed. So much function for your money, and really attractive. This is a 10 star purchase if I could give it that. Not too hard to put together. Just look for the stickers on each piece. I am including 2 pictures. One so you can see what it looks like with the mattress, and one so you can see what it looks like without the mattress. Really sturdy, puts a mother’s mind at ease.

    The assembly of the bunk bed was pretty easy and we had it together in about 2+ hours. A drill was very helpful in the process.

    The materials used to construct the bed seem to be fairly decent and sturdy.

    The negative things about the bed so far is that it nicks VERY easily. The slightest bump with anything leaves a dent and and takes the finish off, even something as small as a button on a shirt, or ring on a finger. I’ve purchased stain pens to cover marks and they work well so far, but dents are still visible.

    One thing that really bothers me is that the bed is not espresso, which is typically a dark brown stain. It is very red in hue, very similar to mahogany. All the wooden furniture in my sons room is varying brown colours, and the red really clashes, so please note when ordering if you care about that sort of thing.

    The package arrived and was left in front of the house. No worry about anyone stealing it because it was VERY heavy. We unpackaged it outside and carried in piece by piece. The instructions were easy and I was able to assemble it by myself. I would recommend a drill bit for the hex key because I did it all with the tools provided and ended up with a blister. My 10 year old twins helped lift the twin on top of the full. We still need the mattresses but so far we love it.

    The image looks good, the problem is you can not see underneath where the child on the lower bunk looks up to see a wooden unfinished frame. the upper bunk has a very cheap frame made of unfinished wood (splinters) and is unsightly for anyone especially children going to bed. I was able to assemble the bed within 1 hour by myself, but unpack the box upon delivery and bring in all the parts as the box weighs a ton. No Mattresses included as described, but you can not use any mattress, you must buy the hard base ones or else the kids will feel those wooden slat boards. I may have to go to Home Depot and purchase piece of wood and fix this bed so its safe and comfortable. I used white duct tape to cover the wood cross bars or else splinters galore.

    This bed looks amazing!! I was a little skeptical at first when my husband purchased the bed because of the bad reviews, but decided to give it a go. When I opened the box everything looked well packed, no cracks, scratches or dents. I managed to put it together by myself and took me 4 hours, the only help I needed was to place the twin on top of the full bed, other than it was easy to assemble and instructions were easy to follow. Great quality, it is a very sturdy. My only complaint is that I had to use a bunky board on the twin bed because of the slats. Overall this was a great purchase!!

    Ordered 2 of these bunks and they’re awesome – 1 for my 9 year old and 1 for my 3.5 year old. They arrived safely with no box damage, the freight company was great. 1 had a gash in the wood that was put in the box that way bc there was no damage to the box. They took my husband about an hour each to put together – he had to get a specially drilbit for his electric drill and said it was more ham worth it. We sincerely couldn’t be happier with the beds, the wood is Good quality and sturdy.
