   If you are a person who struggles with putting things together on their own, don’t be scared! This frame had very clear instructions and took me about 30 minutes to put together on my own. It has held up nice and is the perfect height off the ground. It is a decent frame for half the cost of other bed frames.

   This was such an easy frame to assemble…you would think every platform bed was easy to assemble but it’s not that way.
   There’s plenty of space underneath for storage or a dog that likes to camp out under beds (like my husky). It is very sturdy. My husband and I both have laid down on it when snuggling with our daughter (approximately 400lbs between the two of us) and it doesn’t even squeak.

   I broke my last bed frame and I was looking for something simple so it didn’t clash with our decor and we love it! Pros: We got the 14in frame, and it’s has high elevation so lots of room for storage underneath. Super comfy, can’t feels the bars underneath when sleeping. Very sturdy if correctly built and the screws are tightened efficiently. Sleek and simple look. Cons: Our mattress slides around SLIGHTLY. I didn’t build it but my boyfriend said it came with something to keep the mattress centered so really it’s only the sides of the mattress that slide only a little. If your mattress is smaller, the corners will stick out as well but it’s not really a huge issue for us. Overall very happy and you should def get it if you’re thinking about it! <33

   The tool that it came with stripped out really bad and it was difficult getting the screws to go in, but I was able to finally tighten them all. The frame looked a little difficult to put together when you first pull out all the pieces, but once you start reading the directions and start putting it together, it’s actually pretty easy. So far, it seems pretty darn sturdy and doesn’t squeak (woohoo)! The frame does seem just a little larger than the mattress, so the corner posts stick out a little (see photos). Not a huge problem, but definitely something to watch out for if you don’t want to break a toe!

   UPDATE: Price increased almost $20 overnight almost immediately after I reviewed this product, so you could probably find a similar quality at a lower price elsewhere. ORIGINAL: This bed frame is nice. It looks tall in the picture but for someone like me who is 5’ 10”, this bed feels like what the standard bed should feel like. My feet lightly touch the ground without too much pressure on my knees when getting up. Solo setup took less than one hour. No tools needed. I REALLY appreciate how the hardware was in actual packaging and not just your basic baggies (photo included). Some tips to make assembly easier: -Take a photo of the hardware package BEFORE opening and edit the image with mirror. This will make identification much easier as you’re building (see photo). -Opening the hardware package is easy, turn it to the back and just bend it like you’re trying to break along the perforations. Easy peasy. -Lay out your parts before you start assembling to get an idea of where they should go -For the two longest sides of the frame, they should mirror each other (I forget the part letters, but as you build you’ll know what im talking about— one male to one female on each side. The manual makes it look like its two males on one side and two females on the other side. This is wrong) -As you’re assembling DO NOT TIGHTEN ALL THE WAY UNTIL THE WHOLE BED FRAME IS ASSEMBLED. Doing so will cause misalignment and stripping. -Also, do not over tighten once you’re done. This will also cause stripping. A rule of thumb for me is, hand tightening as im going along, and when im ready to tighten with the Alan key, I only use my index and thumb. Anything more is unnecessary. I’ll update if anything changes, but for a queen sized platform bed frame that is the cheapest at the moment with free shipping, this is a great buy. If you’re looking for a frame to get the job done, this is it.

    I love the bedframe itself. It’s sturdy, quiet, was easy to put together, and even came with a little ratchet tool. But I just went to change my sheets, and the double stick tape that they attached to some of the slats so the mattress wouldn’t move…. is all over my mattress protector now. I have no idea how to get this sticky goop off, and I’m scared that my mattress protector is now ruined. Please, guys… look into the quality of the tape you’re using. Or use something that isn’t adhesive-based. Otherwise, fantastic bedframe.

    This bed platform is very sturdy. I needed a queen-size box spring (I have a head/footboard) so I got this. There are holes at the top end to connect a headboard but not at the foot — someday I may get around to drilling holes for a footboard. The platform is very easy for one person with arthritic hands to put together. I had no problems getting the bolts tight enough to create a very sturdy bed. It also comes apart very easily as well. There are 4 strips of sticky stuff designed to keep the mattress from moving. I found them relatively useless and took them off and used a strips of foam instead.     I kept looking at other frames, but I always came back to this one. If you’re skeptical, don’t be! I put 97% of this together by myself (and the other 3% wasn’t because I needed the help either). It’s very light but very sturdy, which surprised me a lot. My new mattress is 118 lbs + me and it’s holding strong so far! What I do recommend is that you have a small-medium rubber mallet to help you with some of the bars. I also recommend using a low-torque power drill and then hand tightening the rest of the way. The drill isn’t a must, but it saves some time. The box (not pictured) was slightly damaged, but all parts were accounted for and no damage to the parts either. All screws etc were nicely packed and accounted for as well. You do only get the exact amount for what you need. That doesn’t bother me, but I felt it important to add for others. It has lots of space under the bed, but I would not recommend putting something very wide unless you have space to shimmy it in and out easily due to the supports in the middles/ends. That’s all!     The frame is a great height and our mattress is 12 inches thick so for shorter people like myself (5 foot 4 inches)bi have to do a little hop, but it’s not the fault of the frame or the mattress. I’ve had the frame for almost a year and these are the things that I have found which are not so great. 1) the sticky stuff to keep mattress in place only lasted a couple months. 2) The mattress slides side to side 3) The feet have scratched up my wood floors (the little bit of rubber on them is NOT sufficient. The one for the middle bar is the worst and has ripped out the flooring down to the concrete. I have an old rag under it for now to prevent further damage to the flooring until I can find rubber feeting to use instead.

    I had a bed with cheap 1 inch wooden slats. After a few years, the screws were stripped, wood cracked and center support legs would slip out if the bed was scooted even by an inch! I looked at several metal frames on line and found this to have very good description, size illustration and great price in comparison. By measurements, I wanted this frame to simply sit inside my queen size bed’s side rails and foot board. Exact fit! Tight against the side boards, yet no forcing it. Assembly was super easy, only one allen wrench needed, which is included. Assembly guide is clear and very easy to follow. The sticky, grip strips to keep mattress from sliding is great, but not sure how long it will hold it’s grip with rotating the mattress. I did have one cross rail end cap missing, but no big deal, just happened to have one that worked just fine. Under storage is not really applicable for me, as the side boards on my bed is low to the floor, otherwise looks like you could store smaller things under a bed with no problem as the bottom of the frame is a foot off the floor.

    Preface by saying I’m a middle-aged woman (ha) and had this unboxed and assembled by myself this is probably about 50 minutes. One lil’ hiccup (see all photos except last two, which show finished setup and the instructional booklet and hardware that it comes with): basically the two ends of the bed—head and foot—have on each side of the frame “male and female” parts where one slides into the other THEN screws are placed in. The “male” part on both sides was NOT going to fit…when I placed them together, it was like both ends were same-size. I had to use pliers (or wrench, whatever it is called) and squeeze on the “male” part with all my might for both sides and luckily I could THEN slide it into the “female” part. This was a bit of struggle and annoying, but I did it and am so glad I didn’t just return it.

Very sturdy, easy set up only took me 30-45 minutes, and if you have a tall mattress, your bed will sit high. I was thinking about getting a box spring but I already have to jump in it!     Unboxing was easy. Installing was much easier than I thought. The only problem was the screw was a little difficult to put in 2 different times because of the build up of paint. That required strength to screw it in. The one side number 3 also was hard to attach together and I’m not sure if it was because the metal on one side was bigger than the other or it was the paint. Eventually I pushed it in together. Great product. Would I recommend? Yes .

    UPDATE: I’ve been laying on it for a few hours now and while I was getting on my bed, I got startled because the bed slightly dipped with a pop. I picked up the mattress and I saw that the a few bars weren’t in the little notches that hold them in place. A few of the black plastic caps that help secure the ends were pretty much bent and came off (pictured). Because the bars already weren’t a perfect fit (they have about less than inch of space), now they’re shifting from left to right so it’s not as secure. I also wouldn’t recommend using the adhesive tape that comes on some of the bars to keep the mattress in place. The tape is a little too good and it lifts the bars out of their slots whenever I lift up the mattress which is kind of frustrating. I’m probably going to move my mattress, flip the bars, and buy some sort of rubber to keep it in place instead. This bed frame would be a lot better if it had a better way to secure the bars. But I guess you get what you pay for at less than $100. I bought this frame for my full size mattress because I was interested in getting something that might provide decent storage space underneath. Its got 12″ of space, and that was great, but I also decided to get some bed risers just in case. Box came a little damaged with a small portion of it torn open, but it wasn’t a gaping hole or anything. I was just hoping nothing got damaged. Opened it up, took it out, and I had all the parts and – thankfully – nothing was dented. I got to assembling it and it’s very straightforward and not at all complicated. I will say that I think it took me a lot longer to put together than it should have. The reason why is because there was a part that was a little scuffed up and slightly dented (pictured). It was a part that would encase the other half of the frame, and the part that needed to go inside just, well… wasn’t (and was somewhat annoying because it wasn’t even big). I was even starting to think I might have to return or exchange it. I probably tried to shove it in there for a good ten minutes thinking maybe I just wasn’t getting a good angle. I ended up disassembling the part, grabbing a hammer, and using the claw to try and make the hole a little wider. It ended up working – thank god, so I guess it all worked out. The other side with the identical part was just fine. Also just a suggestion, but I would probably do step one, three, and then two. It just was a lot easier for me, personally, but to each their own! After assembling it, it seems sturdy enough. My mattress is a heavy one – probably 80 to 100lbs, and I, myself, am also a little heavy, but as I’m laying on it right now it doesn’t feel wobbly or anything. Overall, so far I’m pleased with my purchase. Assembly could’ve been better, but I suppose that’s more of a “luck of the draw” type deal as not everyone’s product will have dents or be defective. I’ll be sure to come back and update my review if anything changes.

    I really like this platform for my mattress. It was very easy for me to put it together. Just make sure that you DO use the Velcro that comes with it because I took mine off and the mattress slid all over the place. I had to put the Velcro back on and now it’s fine. The only con, which is probably just a personal preference, is that I would like the tool to be bigger/longer, BUT I appreciate that I comes with a tool.     This frame seems super sturdy and I was able to put it together by myself quite easily. I like that it’s tall allowing for storage space. The only reason I docked a star is that it was bigger than our mattress. We have a full size mattress and there was a substantial gap between the mattress and the edge of the frame. We have two small children and I just kept envisioning one of them trying to climb up or down from the bed and their leg slipping into that gap and getting broken. We ended up putting some boards under the mattress to cover the gaps so that wasn’t a concern, but it was weird to me that there was so much space. I will say it wouldn’t have been as bad on all sides if we could have centered the mattress but we have a small child sleeping on the bed and have the bed in a corner so we are always cautious about ensuring there is no gap between the mattress and wall. Regardless, even if the mattress was fully centered there would still be a small gap on all sides. This probably wouldn’t be an issue for anyone without small children, aside from maybe aesthetic preferences. But definitely something to consider if you have little kids.

    I received a similar bed frame but not the one that I ordered. I have included a photo as well to show the brace in the center of the bed frame that is not pictured in any of the photos of this item. I ordered a queen size and I’m a little irritated that I couldn’t figure out what was off about the bed frame. And it’s a middle bar crossed along the middle of the frame. So that being said I am unable to either push certain items and I’m limited on the size of what the item is. No longer can do long pieced which I did have for my previous bed frame which was suppose to be an exact replacement. I had previous bent the leg to the frame by not removing my 6 foot tall headboard and trying to move everything all together at once and it bent, my fault. But this was suppose to be just a little taller but exactly the same frame style. I have already had to tighten everything down a second time and seems to be rather squeaky, but that’s what happens when metal to metal rub and do not have any kind of rubber or insulation to stop any noises. I like the height of it and it’s easy to put together. Oh and the tape was terrible, stayed on the mattress but not the metal bed frame it came installed on. You get what you pay for in the end.

    Took about an hour to assemble, pieces seemed sturdy enough and was tested by family members ranging 160lbs – 230lbs and didn’t budge! It also seems to have this sticky strip(?) that holds down the mattress as seen in one of the photos! Also has the middle support beams, it isn’t just being held by the corner ones, measured it since I saw people say it’s not actually 18inches, It was a little over 16 inches off the floor but overall about 18 inches from top to bottom but i’m okay with it since I have a big mattress, also can confirm it doesn’t slide easily when trying to move it on carpet and needs to be picked up to be placed!     Second time purchasing this bed frame and since I bought it almost 2 years ago, they have definitely cheated out on the materials a bit. My cross beams came folded and without any adhesives so my mattress slides off. It’s solid and great for the price but just know that the quality reflects the deal. I had to buy a new one because my house burned down BUT when I went to go view the pile of ash that was my home, this bed frame was still in one piece !! Yea, kind of bent , but one of the only things that didn’t just crumble. For that I will give it 4 stars instead of 3.

    This bed is amazing. Me and my sister have been trying to find a black, metal bed. We found one but the price went up the next morning we looked at it. We found this one and it is an amazing price, black and metal, and has storage underneath it (bonus!). We bought two, they arrived, and we got to work. Well, it actually wasn’t much work. It took three people, but those three people were age 12, 10, and 10. It first took us 43 minutes, because we somehow didn’t realize that some of the bars push together, so we were screwing things in the wrong way, and then for the second bed, it took 23 minutes! Set up is very easy (if you put the right bars together!). There is sticky tape on some of the bars so that the mattress will stay on. At first I thought it would be a little too short for us, but it is a perfect height even for adults. Plenty of storage underneath the bed. If this is the kinda thing you’re looking for, it’s perfect for you!!! Also, the price is amazing 🤩
